dry kit, 12.68 @ 124.8

well, i finally made it back to the track since i just had my transmission (700R4) gone thru, put alot of good parts in it, and it seems to be shifting/holding up awesome.

****ty night, got to the track late, only got in one pass, which i have no rollcage so i roll out about a foot for a second to trip the timers, then takeoff just to see what mph i could get and if it would hook before i made my full blown bonzi pass. car spun really bad thru 1st and part of 2nd, in and outta the bottle, pass ended up like this: 3.1 60ft, 8.7 @ 97, 12.68 @ 124.89 . thats with one of the oldest dry kits ive ever seen, with a 72N jet so im guessing its like a 150 shot since ive read the solenoid/nozzle arent good for anymore power.

then somebody scattered all over the track, and the last hour we waited on cleanup, and they tell us at the end of the night to go home they wont get it cleaned up in time!! i really hate the crew at Gainsville Raceway.

it has alot more top end now without the tran slipping, cause last time i went 99mph in the 1/8th and 123 in the 1/4. and now i obvioisly can go 99-100 in the 1/8th, and hopefully 126-127 when it hooks, maybe next time ill get in some decent passes.

72 jet's good for a buck seventy five, assuming the orifice in the solenoid is bigger.

you're going 10s when you hook.

i dont know if the orfice is bigger or not i havent changed anything and took it off a mustang.

i was aggrovated i didnt get another pass b/c the right lane was hooking, i can usually get 1.7 60fts outta my nittos, i think it woulda run 10's at 126 or so. oh well.

tonight im putting a Nitrous Xpress kit on the car jetted for 150. and i still need to get it tuned on the dyno.

Doesn't sound like you need the NX kit.

You should try racing here, Gainsville actually has a dedicated track crew?

Sounds like the trans is fine along with the rest of the car.

Want to sell the old kit after you remove it?
