DO NOT order your kit from Excessive Motorsports!

You definitely do not want to run more than a 150 shot without upgrading your internals. Other than getting really specific I don't know what else to tell you. Are you planning on running a wet or dry system? How much power are you gonna use? When are you gonna use it?

Do NOT hit the Nitrous under 3K rpms...

Do NOT run lean running Nitrous...

Do NOT tell yourself "What is another 50 horpower...it is taking 150 just fine"...

Do NOT just buy a base kit and think that is all that is needed to run it safely...

and finally...

Do Not call it NAAUUSSSS! NOS is the brand, not the drug .

Don't leave home with out your windo switch.
Don't let your fuel psi drop off.
when you over speed don't let fuel get cut before nitrous oxide.
Your insane if you run only the base kit.

They mean spend the few extra bucks on the safety features, like a Window Switch, Fuel Pressure safety switch, gages are nice and things like a purge and remote opener are COOL!

what else is needed
You will want to run colder plugs, a window switch, a fuel pressure safety switch, a retard control box, and probably an aftermarket ignition. An MSD Digital 6 will handle the last 2 I listed. Granted, nothing will make any power adder safe to run, but it will increase the odds for a long and fruitful life of the motor.

Other things that are nice to have are the bottle heater (mandatory this time of year), remote bottle opener (depending on the location of your bottle), and a purge system. If you race at a track that enforces the rules, you will be required to run a blow down tube that is designed to exhaust the Nitrous outside of the passenger compartment in the event the bottle pressure is too high for the bottle. Most blow off valves are somewhere around 2000 psi I think. I beleive all of these come in an add on kit Gen-X II (with the exception of the remote opener).

You don't need an aftermarket ignition... thats for the LT1 guys. But in addition to the colder plugs, bottle heater, purge kit, fuel safety shutoff switch, filter, and ect., try running the highest octane gas possible (i.e. 100, 103 octane) so you dont have to worry about retarding your timming.
