do i really need a blowdown tube??

do i really need a blowdown tube??

i just purchased a nx kit adjustable from 50-150 shot. i got the nx kit plus the gen X 2 kit. but i think he forgot to send the blowdown tube though. do i really need it?? i paid $575 shipped for it.....

you only need if you want to pass tech or dont want to inhale nitrous should the safety valve pop.

if you race any kind of bracket race youll more than likey have to have it to pass inspection. as for the valve blowing, have you ever actually heard of this happaning? ive been around a lot of dragstrips and never heard of this, but i guess better safe than sorry. (im not running mine)

the guys that sold me the kit is gonna send the blow down tube on monday.....btw, what is the different between the activation switch and WOT switch, any pics??? thanks

the activation switch arms the system so its ready to go. the wot switch is what tells the solenoids to actually open.

94drop,i have seen the safety valve let go numerous times,especially in the summer.


come on now, numerous??? well i guess its just me personally but i've been going to the drag strip for about 8 years and have never seen it. if im not wrong those valve plates are rated at like 2300 psi the bottle is rated at about 3500 so it would have to be damn hot, but i guess its possible

Same, I've never seen one blow. In Vegas it gets 120*F in the Summer. I've heard of some instances there in a locked car, windows up... but that's about it.
