Damn nitrous help!!
I have no idea whats wrong !!! Ok i have the base NOS dry kit on my LT1. It came with a fuel pump thats installed. Everything IS wired corectly and no fuses are blown. The purge kit works fine and when i activate it with the intake elboe off it shots the nitrous fine. Heres the problem, ...... When im running the 1/4 mile, and im in second at about 3500 rpm and i activate it i hear a clicking sound (like its turning on) and then a surge then its like a delay and when i get up to 5500 rpm its stuttering and kinda a loss in power. i still run the 1/4 at 13.5 but its like the nitrous wasnt even there ...... whats wrong ? ?

Im running ngk tr6 plugs, which i found out are gapped at .050 and i know they should be .035 (will have to change that) Its a dry kit, dont know fuel or n20 pressure . I will have a N20 pressure gauge tomarrow. bottle should be half full though , its a .52 jet so im guessing a 75 shot !!
Do you have the NOS #5176 dry kit? The stock jets for 125hp are 67 and 42. Make sure you use these jets! You will need SVO 24lb fuel injectors . The stock ones will lock up. The TR6 plugs should be gapped from .032 to .035. You will need a bottle heater also.

SmokinZtires94, if you have a new 5176 kit or pretty new, the jetting in there is 67N/59F. Think the older 5176 kits came with 67N/42F jets. The newer kits are rated at 150hp. Mine put up about 130hp at the flywheel on the dyno. Thats why they require the booster pump too unless your gonna cut down the shot to less HP. Mike was right about the injectors though. If there stock, they can lock up with that big of a shot. You need at least 24# SVO's or similar. He's also right about the gap. You have to close that down to the .035 range. You also need to know what your fuel pressure and bottle pressure is running. Need to see if your fuel pressure is jumping up and staying there through your run and that your bottle pressure is around the 950psi range. And he's also right about the bottle heater. Makes a big difference. Don't think you'll get up to 950psi without one. Another thing is timing. You shold pull some timing out of it or your probably gonna get some knock retard. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input ! I now have a n20 gauge, and it says im runnin 1000 psi. I live out in so cal and its hot as hell so i dont know if i need a heater, I will gap the plugs down and plan on getting 30 lb injectors soon. As for the timing, all I have is an RK sport IAT senosor, which might be advancing timing, explaning my knock at high rpms !!! I might get a retard controller to go w/ my HI6S , thanks for the help . Looks like the prob was a few things. I'll still run the 75 shot though. Wish me luck !
