I imagine that since a law has been passed, the cops will actively search for nitrous equipment in suspected streetracer's cars or in cars with other noticable performance mods. It's not like it's a big secret where the majority of the late model f-bodies stash their bottles (spare tire well) Putting out a decoy will most likely prevent a possible search.

By the way, I have been looking to purchase a NX kit for my T/A, so I have been doing some research on this law. It is not written all that well. If I find any particular wording that leaves N2O open to legal use, I'll pass it on so that you'll know how to LEGALLY use it. I'll try to find a direct copy of the law to post, as well.

Well, that is if the cop who stops you does not happen to own an F-body. I am a Georgia cop that DOES happen to own an F-body... but then, I probably wouldn't ticket you, either.... as long as you were being CAREFUL.

I assure you, that it is not legal to use on the street. I like the idea of having a decoy bottle.

I can only speak to Georgia on the "N2O on the street" issue..... you'll have to check with your state to see how your laws are written. Until our new law was written earlier this year, it was perfectly legal to use N2O on the streets here in Georgia. Like I said, I have not seen the final revision of the new Georgia law yet, so I don't even know about legality here, anymore.
You guys should move to Florida, it's 100% legal here
