Question can I spray with impala head gasket?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has sprayed their lt1 while using the impala head gaskets? I had my heads milled and used these gaskets to get an 11.0 compression ratio. Is there a greater risk to blow a gasket? Also how much spray is possible with these gaskets? I was thinking of possibly running a 100 shot or 150 shot. Thanks.

I'm running 11.8:1 compression and have sprayed a 200 shot.

There has to be somebody who knows or knows someone that has done this before. I'm not worried about the compression, just want to know if the gasket will hold up since the material is different. Thanks.

I run the Impala head gaskets and a 150 Nx kit with no problems. The motor has been together for almost a year with quite a few bottles thru it but mostly on the street b/c they run me out of the track for not having a rollbar. I plan on putting one in this summer and stepping up to a 175-200 shot. I have run 11.60's with only 600psi bottle pressure and letting off the n20 in high gear b/c I was worried about leaning out with the stock fuel pump.

I am also running the Impala head gasket with no problems. I have a 383 with around 11.5:1 and spray a 200 shot as well. The car has ran a 10.66@130 and the gaskets have not failed.

Nitrous, unlike superchargers or turbos likes more compression, I think that you will be safe with a 150 shot or more if your fuel pump is up to it. Don't want to go lean

actually, it will work -
only so long as you spray more than a 250 shot to make up for what will leak out of the gasket and you video tape it

I'm 11:1 (with Impy gaskets) and I am sprayin a 150 on a stock bottom half motor, running 10's! You just need to run good gas (108octane) to make sure you dont get detonation at the track.

You have to run 108 or similar octane??

You'll be fine on pump gas, as long as you don't go lean. And you adequitley retard the timing.

I have been running a 150shot on pumpgas w/o any timing retard but that is dangerous IMO. I don't run the n20 in high gear and thats when it would detonate. I plan on pulling some timing or running some 105 unleaded but I never get much chance to run on n2o b/c no rollbar and on the street it is rarely needed. But in any case I would think it would be very wise to either pull 3-4 degrees with a 150 shot on pumpgas or add you some race gas to compensate and keep from detonation.

why high gears?
do you mean high RPMS?

I'm lost
