Building NA stroker and might spray...

Im looking into building a cheap NA 383 stroker. I dont have immediate plans to spray but If I ever do it will be no more than a 150 shot. Now if I do for extra insurance should I get just forged pistons, just forged rods, or both? Remember Im going cheap here and a 150 shot would be the max if I even ever do spray.

If my stock $hi* is holding up to this much abuse then aftermarket parts can only be better. I'd get the pistons if anything.

You don't want to build a cheap 383 trust me. You would be better off putting some forged pistons on your stock crank and rods. Have it balanced with a nice head cam package and some spray would get you going faster than a cheap 383. It will last a hell of alot longer too. The only way too build a 383 is to use some good parts=expensive and have it balanced or else you are just waisting money. A 383 will also need injectors, throttle body and some major tuning to be fast. Just my .02 Later
