bottom end thoughts??
bottom end thoughts??
What do you guys think about the rotating assembly below?
Wiseco 4.040" pistons with -9cc dish comp height is 1.560" (also would like to know how to set the rings for a big shot of juice), Lunati 5.85" rods, and Lunati Sledgehammer 3.48 crankshaft.
I also plan on adding in a set of LE3 heads with a BB custom cam and some billet splayed main caps. Primarly what I am asking will this setup be up to the task to holding a fairly large shot of n2o (250hp+)? Given that I get it dyno tuned with the appropriate supporting mods (larger injectors, ignition, some race fuel, and a few other things) Also if you have any recommendations I would be more than happy to hear them.
Thanks
Cody

Re: bottom end thoughts??
Would it be alright to run 93 and spray the nitrous attached to a fuel cell with race fuel in it? Also would raising the compression increase the chances of detenation spraying it that way? If not what would you recommend raising the compression to?
Thanks
Cody
Thanks

Re: bottom end thoughts??
I have heard several people warn against running race gas for the nitrous and 93 in the tank because of the different burn rates. Raising compression will just require a higher octane fuel to prevent detonation (that and proper timing retard). Around 11:1 should be good if you will be street driving alot. I am running 12.8:1 but my car only sees about 500 miles a year. I have to run race gas all the time.
Re: bottom end thoughts??
Look into pistons that have a lowered top ring. The piston manufacturer should be able to tell you how loose to gap the rings.
Milled or unmilled won't affect the nitrous enough to really matter. Run a good compression that will still allow you to drive it. 11:1 should be fine. If you were planning a race motor, then run whatever comp. you want to.
