bottle pressure gauge mounted in car?

does anybody have pics of this? I was gonna run some oil line through the firewall and mount in the car so i can actually see the pressure without having to look at the bottle.
thanks

You can take a look at this. It more for a Firebird, but you'll get the point.

well im not a real big fan of the pods so im gonna mount it with my switches in the little pocket under the radio. im making a little bracket out of some plastic, ive seen it before on the board.

i thought the oil line thing sounded crazy too but i have a friend whos running it that way now and its been working for about 2 years. I dont know what the pressure rating is on that line and would love to find out but i guess we'll see. im not real sure what im gonna do yet.

craig--- do you know if thats a lighted gauge? i have the gauge from nx that comes with the kit but id rather have a lighted gauge.

You are dealing with a system that can develop pressures of up to 1800psi before the relief cap blows. Do NOT use "oil line", whatever that may be. Use braided S/S line just like you use for the rest of your nitrous system. Anything else is dangerous.

And, when you tap into the main nitrous line, make sure the branch that goes off to the gauge is protected with a "restriction orifice".... that will prevent a huge cloud of blinding (and asphyxiating) nitrous from filling your car in the remote event the line or the gauge breaks. AutoMeter includes the restriction fitting with their mechanical gauges.

I ran the braided S/S line for the gauge through the rubber grommet behind the PCM... plenty of room. As far as gauge mounting, I can't really help you since my Formula has it in one of the center A/C vents.

Yes the gauge is lighted. I'm pretty sure all AutoMeter gauges are.
