Blower pistons w/ nitrous, bad idea?
Blower pistons w/ nitrous, bad idea?
355
8.4:1 compression
JE/SRP -24cc pistons
How much nitrous could these pistons handle? Would not be boosted while spraying. Am I severely limiting myself in the amount of nitrous usage by using blower pistons?

Re: Blower pistons w/ nitrous, bad idea?
Those are blower/nitrous pistons, the only thing you are missing out on is compression
. What is the rest of your bottom end like? Should handle a 200+ shot no problem depending on rods, crank, ring gap, etc.

Re: Blower pistons w/ nitrous, bad idea?
Blower/nitrous pistons are pretty much the same, other than lower compression. They both have thicker top ring lands, and thicker decks to handle the higher loads. They should work fine, but I would run a slightly larger top gap if you want to spray on top of the blower.
The spray is actually a little easier on the piston, since you don't have the extra heat going in.
