What is the biggest shot I can go with a powershot solenoid? 150?

I also have an edelbrock fuel noid.

Also where you do shift on the nitrous?

 

Per Nitrous Supply, the solenoids will go to about 200 but the tpi style plate has dist problems above 170 or so.Dont know about the carb plate or dry kits.
Everyone has their own opinion, but i come out of the hole on spray[3200] or slightly after that, depending on traction,and my car likes it when i shift 200 rpm sooner on the kit.

If you have an lt1 with the limiter at 6250,then yes i would stop spraying at 6.You dont want to hit the limiter on the spray.
The nitrous will lessen the need to rev as high, but doesnt mean you cant.
My setup prefers shifting a couple hundred rpms early on nitrous, yours might not. If youre only making power to 5500 or something NA why spray to 6000?.Whatever optimal rpm i for your combo NA, it will probably be slightly lower on nitrous.
I also lower the pill in my shift light because the motor revs faster on nitrous,so i have to react slightly earlier to shift where i want.
As for the nozzle, i dont know what the limit for a single shark nozzle is,im a NOS guy.Contact your dealer or theres a ton of NX guys on this board.Im pretty sure a single nozzle wont go 200 though.

 

im mainly concerned about the solenoid flow not the nozzle. Ive heard like 150hp?

you can run them no with jets and only make about a 150 shot. i feel the are junk. the quality is terrible i have had quite a few of them crap out on me some sick open. the only think i would use one for is a purge.

 

well ive got 2 of them in series for the nitrous supply, i dont think the chance of them both sticking open is that great.

What psi should I shoot for? 900?

 

I two in series in a 5115 kit the first one stuck open and dumped a full bottle out the pressure regulator. bottle pressue is variable on a wet kit 900 1000 1100 all work you just have to jet it accordly. but lower pressure will stay more constant as being used.

 

So are these solenoids quality? Running like 100 shot? I have them mounted above my intake manifold. They are not directly on it. They have a bracket with some air space under it. They get hot though.

 

i think powershot are garbage. but that is just my opnion.

 

will they be fine for a 75-100 shot? should be with 2 nitrous noids in series right?

 

I know a person who ran some Super Powershot NOS brand solenoids in his dry kit with a 150 HP shot and never had a problem.

I'm not sure about the normal Powershot solenoids though, but I'd assume you'd be ok with 150 or 175. I wouldn't push it beyond 175 though.

 

a solenoid is open or close the jetting changes to size shot so if you have a 5 shot or a 500 shot the solenoid opens and closes the same. having them in series will save you if one sticks open.
