Exclamation ASR and Nitrous, what happens if???

Lets say I forget to turn off ASR, I launch off the line and get over 3K RPM's the Noids open and all that power hits, the wheels spin and ASR engages.

What happens?

I think that ASR works by shutting off spark right?? Not good when N20 is in the cylinder right?

i would say yopu have a GREAT chance of introducing tiny piston pieces to the oilpan,or a rod to the outside world.

Question

Yeah I know it kills ET but will it nuke my engine?? I know the rev limiter will but I'll set my window switch to engage before the rev limiter.

What about the traction control, I feel the pedal get mushy, but what is it actually doing? If it engages when I and spraying what will happen??

are you sure its controled with spark. I though it used the abs and engagued the rear brakes. Not sure though
that's how front wheel drives work, i just assumed rears worked the same.

Actually i think it pulls timing, lets off the gas and uses the brakes. If your RPMs shot too low because of this then you could have an intake backfire.

In order the ASR will pull timing, close the throttle, and apply the rear brakes. AFAIK it never pulls out fuel. Pulling timing shouldn't cause a problem with the nitrous. If the ASR starts to close the throttle, the nitrous should be deactivated by the WOT switch (you are using a WOT switch, right?).

I don't want to be the first to try this, but in theory it should work as I described.

Exclamation

Sounds like one should make sure it's off before launch!

1. Make sure ASR is off
2. Open bottle
3. Arm system
4. turn on Heater
5. purge
6. hit it
