Anyone using the TNT LT1 plate kit?

Just wondering if anyone is having good luck with the lt1 TNT plate kit? Is anyone running 200hp or more through one with any success? I have heard up to 200-225 they work great and after that you run into distribution problems? Is this true? It seems like the ls1 guys love tnt but what about the lt1 guys? Thanks for any reply!

I have always heard good things about the TNT kits. I am installing one rignt now. I am not using the plate though. The nozzles are going in my vortec elbow in front of the TB for better distribution. I will eventually be spraying 200 through it.

Does anyone have proof that having the nozzles closer creates a bad distribution problem compared to having them before the tb? If tnt has found this to be the case then why haven't they changed this set-up? I am just curious from people who have first hand experience and tried it both ways? I understand hearing this from sales people who sale different kits but what about real world experience. Just wondering because of my personal experience on different applications the closer the nozzles are the better distribution and better luck running higher shots I have had.

How much have you sprayed through your plate kit? Any distribution problems in certain cylinders?

Re: Anyone using the TNT LT1 plate kit?

I have that kit on my car and have sprayed a 200 shot quite a few times with no problems. I went to spray a 250 shot but spun the tires pretty bad and then pretty much put the car away for the winter. I'll be out this spring spraying a 250 shot.

I really like this kit.

Re: Anyone using the TNT LT1 plate kit?

TNT makes a good quality product.

However I do not like placing the nozzles that far up on the two front cylinders. WE tune many cars with many different systems. We also help many customers with tech help. Yes I have seen some cars having distribution problems and zapping plugs because of the nozzle placement with this kit.

IM not saying it will not work. But you never know if its working right untill its to late.. I suggest moveing the nozzles before the throttle body or reading all the plugs after making a pass. If all is well have fun.

Definitely one key on any nitrous kit is reading the plugs after a run as Dave said.

I continually do so.

Thanks for the reply, did you have any distribution problems at the 200 or 250hp levels? Any melted plugs? Thanks again for any reply!

Re: Anyone using the TNT LT1 plate kit?

I have no problems on melting plugs but there are a lot of precautions that I take so it doesn't happen. Computer tuning, pull timing, run colder spark plugs, high octane race fuel, monitor fuel gage and nitrous pressure gage and read my wide band 02 set up that I have in the car as well. If you do most of these things you should be pretty safe. But once again you must pull plugs to check them for any detonation and to read them.

LT1TONY, I noticed from the gm hightech mag. you use to run the nitrous works plate. What made you want to change to the TNT plate?

P.S.--you have a very nice car!!
