Anyone use Silverstone Plugs?
I need new plugs to spray with. I know you cannot use platinum plugs. I was going to just go with the NGK TR6's, but my boss raves about the Silverstone spark plugs. They are made out of silver.
Would these be OK to spray with or should I play it safe and go with the NGKs?

People on this board are not open to new ideas/products. Almost everyone of them will say to use Autolite 104/103 or NGK TR6 for nitrous. When I asked about my Zex Hyperformance plugs before I bought them, all everyone said was that they would be ****ty, dont use those, always use the tired and true...Whatever! I would say give them a try they might be a new best plug.FWIW..My zex plugs have been running perfectly. They are 2 heat ranges colder and gapped about .035. However, they are over $5 a plug, but worth it!

I guess the real question would be do your $5 Zex plugs work better then my PROVEN $1.89 NGKs?
Working fine doesn't mean better, and even if they worked just as well I'd still buy the NGKs.
Sorry boys, NGKs ARE the best for Nitrous use.

Yes, It IS a matter of What's worked before!
When you can have over 15-20,000 in a motor, you don't want to use something you don't know about.
All the Pro Mod racers that I've seen (these people run over 2200 horse with nitrous, if you didn't know) run NGK.
There IS a better plug than the TR6, It's a "R" series from NGK. They are designed just for nitrous and race engines. They have a shorter thicker electrode to protect against melt-downs and getting extra hot and causing detonation.
Like Kurtis said. Why spend three to four times as much to get something that is "Suppose to be" better????
Those Nology plugs just have a silver electrode, nothing special there. Plus it looks pretty thin = easier to heat up and less likely to withstand the extra heat.
Those ZEX plugs even have MORE electrodes = more spots for hotspots and meltdowns since they are alos thin.
You guys however probably don't have much to worry about since you're only spraying 100-150, I imagine.
I'll be spraying near 400.
Run what you want.
I'll stick with my -9 "R" series NGKs.

Yeah, maybe if i was running 400+hp in nitrous I might use the reliable race plug also. However, how can any other product ever become good if nobody ever tries it? I guess im the first person on this board to not use NGK or Autolite. I can however vouch for NGK being a great plug. My buddies GTP runs 12.80's has run 150lbs of nitrous just this summer(hes really rich) and the plugs are still perfectly fine. I just wanted to give something new a try. Good luck with the 400+hp button.
