back when i had the tpi set up in the car i was having problems running a 150 shot. car ran the same as the 100 shot. so my son was testing the power to the selonoids and i accidently pushed the carb to wot and it sprayed n2o into the cylinders. i checked the nos manual and it said to pull the coil and crank the engine, which i did. what the didn't say and i didn't think of was that the plugs needed to be pulled before cranking the engine, to clear the cylinders. so i thought it was all good and i drive the car down the street turn around armed the system and hit it. as soon as it hit it went kaboom scary as hell!!

I had a nitrous backfire because I was running about 1/8th of a tank of gas. I use a wet kit so it didn't have enough fuel to bring out of the tank and boom. Intake elbow, MAF, spark plugs, and even the LT1 tb nitrous plate needed to be replaced. I spray out of the hole on a WOT switch launching about 5 grand.

Moral of the story. Keep at least 1/4th a tank of gas with a wet kit. I got lucky it didn't do anything else to the engine.
