50 shot or so

Okay so heres my problem. Theres this guy at work. He just got a 2001 ws6 i beleive thats the year. I must say awsome car. I have a 96 z with an A4. We both have cat backs. And thats it. Hes bragging all over work that he would kill me if we were to line up. So im thinking What if i was to get a little 50 shot kit of something just to shut this guy up. Shoot i dont neven know if ill beat him but scareing him would be nice. They make some kind kit like this? something small cheap and simple? Ohyeah how safe is something like this being it not haveing all the bells and whisles of the bigger kits? I wasnt on planing useing till 60ft or so. what are your guys thoughts?

I'm thinking pretty much the same stuff as you. It sucks debating whether or not it's really worth it. In my opinion it's very possible you'll crush him if you're spraying. I think kits start at 75 h.p. though. Then there's obviously other expenses that go along with it, ignition box, possibly fuel pump, remote bottle opener, bottle heater. It's never really possible to do just one thing without needing something else.

They do actually make kits that start at 50. I have the NX kit that is capable of 50-150 HP. I don't think however that you can get a kit that is just a 50 shot! I don't know if I helped you but I tried.

I just got a TNT system rated for 75-150hp, I'm told they unlike other companies rate at rear wheel hp. Can't waite to hook it up
I say get a kit and let your ride inhale!!

Thanks guys. I thought about the kits all i can find is 75. I hear when you go 75 you have to change out plugs and such. I was trying to avoid doing that for as little times im going to use my nitrous. I hardly ever race.

My opinion is if you are going to spray, do it right and do it safely. Get the kit that allows you to adjust from 50 -150 and get the safety devices like the FPSS and window switch, a bottle heater is a good investment the remote opener is up to you. But it is a bad idea to let the bottle pressure sit on the noids. And it's a pain to have to get out of your car and go open it, unless you mount the bottle behind you or something.

Hell my LT1 would hang right with a WS6, all I had was SLP intake, Borla and SLP headers and I put a nose on him.

But an '01 WS6 has things like the LS6 intake and he'll have close to 300 RWHP so if all you both have it catback he's gonna take you. Now with a 50-75 shot you can out a car or so on him

So get that juice !!!Once you install it you'll be racing more

Talking

I put a 75 shot on my 95 A4 w/ no trouble. I bought the fpss the heater and a purge all you can get it in the genx kit. I did no other mods to my motor, no window switch, plugs change or anything else and I have had no problems. It took more then a second of my 1/4.

Maybe I'm not reading it right, but from what I saw on the NX website, their GM EFI kit starts at 35hp. So if you really want to spray small, you can do it.

$hit, for 35HP he might as well save his money and just get a cut-out and a CAI!!

Exactly, anything under 75HP is barely noticeable and not worth the effort IMO.

At first i didn't beleive you butthen I saw that you have a 6 cylinder. I guess, but really have no idea, that they are different than the LT1 in the benefits with nitrous. Meaning that they probably can benefit from a 50 shot a lot more than a V8.

I was surprised by it too. I think a LT1 would be alittle different but not by much. Maybe .5 to .75 gains?Who knows until you try.I can't wait to dyno to see what the true gains are.

P.S. I did that hitting the juice about 20' out of the hole.
