150-175 NX shot

Was planning on a 150 NX we shot this season.

Now it looks like I am going with at least a LT4 HotCam kit, match port intake and heads, LT's, and some other stuff.

Stock bottom end but it does not leak or burn a drop of oil.
I know a few stock bottom end LS1 guys that spray a NX 175 on the stock bottom end and are ok. I also only plan to spray on 110 octane and only at the track.
Have NGK TR-6's, Racetronix pump, clean injectors.

Wonder if the stock injectors could handle that and the cam?

To go from a 150 to a 175 do I just need to buy different jets? Should I stay safe and just keep the 150?
175 I think it might be a good idea even with 110 octane???

To many desecions....

If it's a wet kit, stock injectors will be fine. 110 octane will screw up your O2s and cats if you have them. I personally use an MSD Digital 6 and retard timing 3 degrees for the 150 shot, but I have a MadZ28 tune so it may be different for you.

You might want to look into running 104 or Torco.

The stock bottom end will take a 150 with no problems. The rest was covered up top..

Well the only local race gas is 110. I know of one guy with a GN that runs it.

I might go by IRP and see what they have.

What about the 175 questions?

All you need for 175 is new jets, 200 you need to upgrade to the SHO line though.

What is the SHO line???

You may want to pull a degree or two out when going from 150 to 175. I just had an ultra safe tune on my 150 shot, and stuck the 175 pills in it. No real problems so far

A sho Hose. is a -4 hose with a -3 fitting on one end. This would go from your fuel solenoid to the nozzle. The stock -3 will be good up to 200 hp. If you want to go above to 250 you will need an sho hose.

Correct you may need to pull some timing to go to the 175hp. Also make sure your fuel system is up to par.

Dave,
I believe you meant it goes from the nitrous solenoid the the nozzle, not the fuel solenoid. Also, the stock -3 line is only good up to 175 shot, for 200 you need the SHO line on the nitrous side, fuel side is fine.

Opps you are right in the fact that it goes from the nitrous solenoid to the nozzle. That was a misprint... But you are wrong that you have to have a SHO hose for a 200 shot. The stock -3 will flow 200. To go above that you will need the SHO. The shark nozzle will max flow 250 and the ice man solenoid will max flow 300.

Re: 150-175 NX shot

Trust me, go get someone running the 20920 kit and pill it up for the 200 shot. It will run fatter than hell (actually losing power over the 175 shot) because the nitrous line can only flow 175. We discussed it a long time ago and you said I wouldn't need the SHO line but the dyno proved otherwise. Before I even got on the dyno Jon Phillips (pretty big NX rep) told me I would need the SHO line for the 200 shot but I didn't believe him since I had already talked to you about it. Just wanting to get the info out there.

Re: 150-175 NX shot

Hmmm, I will try the 200, if its hurts me over 175 then Ill upgrade. Pretty simple since I already have teh regular line.

What jets are needed for a 175 and a 200 shot with the NX shrak nozzle? I know when we are talking this big, I will have to experiment with the fuel side, but what is recommended?

What's the part number for the SHO hose?? Can you get one for fuel side too? I know it's unnecessary, but to use the hose seperator i want, i need them to be the same, plus I think it would look better to have them the same size. Plus I have never seen anywhere you can order them or even seen them when I have searched. Just have heard about them.

Part number 10124. I believe I had to get a 3/8 (i think) to -4 fitting on the outlet of the nitrous solenoid too.
