140,000 miles and nitrous?

Will my 94 z28 be ok with a 125 shot? What should I replace before hiting it with a 125 shot? I just bought it 2 weeks ago with a blown tranny and am having the fixed now.

How is the motor health wise? It might not hurt to verify with a compression test or cylinder leakdown test. A couple things I would replace if doing the nitrous would be the fuel pump in which I would upgrade to a higher flowing unit from Racetronix for example. I would also use one step colder plugs as well. Might want to check out the sticky at the top of the nitrous forum page to get some ideas of what else to use to make a safe kit.

The engine runs great. I do think I need to replace the fuel pump though. It takes a few cranks to fire her up if it sits for a day or more.

Yea a fuel pump is good insurance. Get all the safety stuff (Pressure switch, Window Switch, WOT switch, colder plugs) and it shouldn't be a problem.

I have the zex kit with nitrous management unit so it has a wide open throttle switch and pressure switch already included. Are the autolite 104's a good choice for daily driving and nitrous?

The Autolite 104s would be okay, as would the NGK TR-6s.

just one more question? Where would I put the nozzle? Before or after the maf? Since I have the NMU It will add extra fuel without going through the maf.

I'd still put the nozzle after the MAF regardless.

Ok. How about the window switch? Is it nesasary? I have an automatic. Will juiceing it through shifts hurt the tranny?

I would not shift through shifts unless your tranny is built. It is very hard on it. I would set the window switch about 200 rpms below the shift point. IMO, a window switch is 100% necessary to keep the nitrous from puddling up in the intake under 3000 rpms.

I wouldn't cut corners with the window switch. Another option you could consider would be the Mallory 685 ignition box. Not only do you get the benefit of a hotter ignition spark, but it also has a built-in window switch and timing retard function.

Well my tranny is being built as we speak. He is going to build it to handle 500 hp. I do have the wot switch built in to the NMU. Wil this be enough?

If you have one in the NMU and you have the ability to adjust the rpm slots, then use it.
