*HELP* how to install MSD rpm window switch
*HELP* how to install MSD rpm window switch
ok i have only the 8956 msd window rpm sctivation switch.
i am a 96 lt1 and need to know which wires go to where!
there are 4 wires that tap into or go on something.
1) red wire- where does it go
2)black wire- where does it go
3)orange wire- where does it go
4)white wire where does it go
i have searched all the sites i could find. and havent found a good wiring diagram. so if you could just tell me how you did yours i would be very appreciative.
remember i do not have an msd ignition.

Red- 12V source, usually switched like to your main N20 activation switch.
White goes to your tach terminal on the Computer wire harness
Black goes to ground
Yellow/Orange is the activated lead, if you are using a Fuel pressure safety switch this would go to one side of the FPSS. If you are not using one then it would go the the relay ground. THe window switch completes the ground path thus letting the relay complete it's circuit and you are on the juice
Make sense? If not I could fax you a diagram if you have a fax...or maybe I could post it on my site.

i have an NX wet Kit with a WOT switch, MSd WS, and the main switch to turn it on.
the main switch has 2 wires coming off of it, 1 going to the WOT switch and the other to a positve source. then from the other prong on the WOt switch i have a wire going to my blue wire in my relay. on the relay i have a black for ground which is connected to my body at a nother ground source, a red that goes to my positive source, and the rest are wires going to the silinoids.
i bought my system used so he just ripped it off and it was all still wired but i bought a MSD WS afterwords. so if you know how to set it up with that set up, i would be very grateful.
