Post Will scan if close by...

For any of my Fbod brethren... I have an AutoXray and fittings for 94-95 Fbody (and other GM ???) and OBDII.

I will NOT let you borrow it, but if you're close enough, you can come to my house and scan for free -- or I'll come to your place, at my discresion. I live in Vista, CA, so nearby would be Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marco, Escondido.

Yes, I know you can get free scanning at Autozone, but they could not scan my '95 Z28.

Question

Is the 95 different than the 96 port?

Should be the obd2 port. although 95 is obd2 (i think) it has the older obd1 style port.

That's correct, and that the reason why they're hard to get scanned. The 95 has the 96 style 16 pin ALDL connector, but it's still ODBI. Three different places INSISTED that I had OBDI after showing them the ALDL, even after I INSISTED that I know for a fact that my car is OBDI -- I had to show them the "Equipped with OBDI" sticker in the engine bay before they would believe me.

People with OBDII can just go to Autozone, but us '95 guys are in a bit of a bind, so that's the reason for my offer.

In any case, I forgot the contact info:

You generally only need to scan it if the Service Engine Soon light is on or your having some engine problems.
