Spraying in socal Q.???

Is it legal to have any spray hooked up to your car (in particular your daily driver)? I want to hook up a kit but I need to know if it's legal here first. I need to be able to pass a smog test also. I understand that the spray won't affect the actual test cause it won't be activated, but if it's illegal then I'll fail the visual. LMK guys. Thx.

If I recall, NOS has a CARB approval for one of their kits. N20 doesn't operate under part throttle, thereby having no effect on normal emissions.

Here's the kit for your car:

Yeah i even called N.O.S. myself and they discontinued all 50 state legal kits. And they did at one time make a harness to make you non 50 state kit legal.Well thats been discontinued as well there was an executive order # dry kit http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...rmktdevice.php this website can kinda tell you whats legal or not.The tech @ N.O.S. said that Californias CARB # application plan got so expensive to optain the #'s thats why they discontinued and dont look like any time in the future

I did see someone selling the kit for the CARB setup, but I forgot who it was, doh.
Try searching around, someone may still have one laying around.

Re: Spraying in socal Q.???

OK.. here's the kicker on CARB legal setups. All that allows for is for it to be installed and visible... however, It's against the law to have a pressurized bottle in the passenger compartmant of a vehicle. In any f-body and for the most part.. any passenger car... thats the whole car including the trunk.. If there's a fireway between the bottle and passengers than it's legal to have the bottle. But unless you have a firewall built that protects the passengers then you can't have the bottle in there with pressurerized gas. So as long as you hide it in the wheel well... you'll be fine unless a cop decides to search your car for whatever reason. So it's legal to have the CARB legal kit on the car... just not legal to have the bottle in there.

Underhood C.A.R.B. label must be present under the hood.
