Embry Riddle is in Prescott. And it's a school not a business.

Best bet is to keep searching online. Find companies you'd consider working for and see if they have branch offices in Phoenix.

Other than the big employers here like Honeywell and Intel, I can't really think of any high-tech companies with a major presence here.

Motorola also has a big presence here.

What are you looking for specifically?

Unfortunately, you aren't exactly looking for something in the best of economies. I work for Intel and we have had a general hiring freeze for over 2 years and have let go quite a few people in that time, however we do have openings from time-to-time.

Yeah, Honeywell is my first choice. Believe it or not, looking online extensively has not turned up too much for me. I am only looking for a co-op/internship for the summer/fall as I still have about 8 months of college left.

I am out here now (Mesa) so I will just look around next week. I will say that it is beautiful out here! You guys are lucky to live here!

Thanks for the help

I think Honeywell bought out all the other aerospace companies here. I thinkk they own Ratheon which was in Phoenix, & Allied Signal which I thought had a place there too.

but yeah, Embry Riddle is a college up here in Prescott. We specialize in aeronatics. Both flight training & engineering. If you contacted the career center at the school, they might be able to help you find an internship with an aerospace company. The school's web page is www.pr.erau.edu.

Honeywell does NOT own Raytheon. Raytheon is the parent company. We are the third largest employer (~10,000 employees) in the Tucson area, behind the University of Arizona and the City of Tucson. Unfortunately, we are not hiring at the present. Last year, we went through a "small" layoff.
