Paint Shop - Any Good Ones?

I'm in the Orange/South LA County area and I'm willing to drive for a decent affordable paint with a guarantee. I've contacted Julians in North Hollywood and it is an hour away. I'll have to take a day off to get it there. Any closer recommendations?

That is very cool! And quite timely! I went to go pick up the car today and there was a leak at the back of the intake manifold. Also, the harmonic balancer slipped back 1/8 of an inch. So after working on it all day, I am still working on a shop. I'll have to take another vacation day next week to shore this up.

If you've got a name or number I'll give them a shot.

THANK YOU!!! I had two paint and body shops visit the car at Specialized... both quotes were $5000! I took the car yesterday to Maaco ($1500 - eurathane gray non-metallic), South Coast Body and Paint ($4500 - Lt Blue Metallic... knows his stuff but expensive), and New Image ($1800 - Pewter Metallic and repair all of the dings).

New Image is the place in So Cal! I'd recommend them. Talk to Tom. I'm picking up the car next week, I'll keep you posted!

I just went down to the shop today and the car looks great! So far it is at the stage of being sanded. All of the dents have been pulled and removed. And even the fiberglass on the fenders has been re-fiberglassed. Hats off to Tom at New Image for taking it to this level.

I'm scheduled to pick it up on Tuesday... I'll keep you posted.

They did a killer job for the price!!! There are some spots that were overlooked (like reinforcements on the roof to strengthen the structure) but overall it is an incredible paint job! I would highly recommend Tom at New Image Paint & Body in Orange, Ca.

About painting rims, I'm sure they would. You may want to consider a powder coat which may be a bit more durable. For that, I'd recommend Specialized in Huntington Beach, Ca at 714/841-2114. They have a powder coating division that does only powder coating.

No, I don't know the price. I'd guess at $35-$55 per rim. What's up with your heater core? Did you try flushing it?
