Need help from the Zonies (AZ)

I am thinking of rebuilding my LT1 and stroking it to a 383. I was thinking of taking it to arizona speed and marine so they could do the work. I dont know jack about porting or chaning out the cam so i was just wondering if they are a good choice? I was also thinking of Lopers but i dont really know about them. What do you think?? Thanks in advance.

From what i hear AZ speed and marine are a bunch of *******s, but i personally haven't delt with. How much money are you looking to spend and how much hp do you want out of the motor? I'm building a stroker and ive spent ALOT more then I planned.

I wouldn't deal with AZ speed & marine. Check out xtreme motorsports or even pro dyno might be able to point you in the right direction. Post this on www.arizonafbody.com you'll probably get a bunch more comments from that board.

Low cost and stroker usually means cheap parts.....if you want it to be reliable then i wouldnt put cheap parts in it, thats my opinion though. IF you want between 350-400...you can get this out of a 350, a stroker would be 400+ depending on the displacement and setup. Goodluck.

Yes...I agree that if you only want 350-400hp just build the 350, maybe a 355(bored with stock crank). It will definately keep you in your price range by doing this. Like said above check out www.arizonafbody.com

Well, we have a huge track event this Sunday morning you could go to, but you must register for it by Saturday on the website in the events forum.

http://www.arizonafbody.com/cgi-bin/...num=1031780105

There are 55 fbodies racing and 5-10 of us spectating whose cars weren't able to run.

Also, we will be going to the Pavillions Saturday nite on the 30th of this month to hang out for a while, probably from 5pm on.....

I was hoping I could, that way some of the Chevy power might rub off on my ol Ford..... HEHE. Well look at the bright side Jasons gone and Andy has his car so some good burnouts will definetly be expected on Saturday night Dont worry Andy,I won't tell!!!
