I have been asked by a guy up here in the high desert who is proposing a new 1/4 mile strip here in Hesperia to get the word out. Hesperia Raceway park will be located either next to the I-15 at Main st. or next to Hesperia Lakes on county land. He has approval of both the mayor of Hesperia and the county to do this. It will be 1/4 mile asphalt dragstrip with full insurance, ambulances etc. and a tree, plus stands and maybe a snack shop. It will be open year round. I think this is a great idea to stop all of the local street racing and problems associated with it. Plus some people might want to come from around socal to check it out.

Post more detail and I can help get the word out. Is this just a proposal? Will it be an NHRA or IHRA type track (slightly different rules)? I gotta say, the high desert is not the best place for a new track, but ... the more the merrier!
