Post help quick

anyone know where i should be shifting at? i have a 94z28 a4 edelbrock headers and y pipe flowmaster catback with 3 inch converter 3.42s cai 160 stat and a hpp.i have the hpp set to shift at 6000 rpms. is that too high? i tried to get an answer on the tech forum but not 1 reply.thanks

6000 RPM sounds OK to me.

To really know for sure, get your car dyno tested and look at the graph. Find the point where the HP curve has just passed the peak HP number. Your shift point should be there.

I would think that should be fine. i think stock cars are at 5800 and with the headers
and bolt ons you should be able to go to 6000. If it won't pull to it just lower your shift point

I think the best spot for you to shift will be 5800rpms. even with 1.6rr's i shifted at 5800 or so. your probably making your peak hp at around 5500-5600rpms and you want to shift a little bit after that.
