Cool Getting a chip

Hey, I'm excited, I'm getting a chip for my 93, set-up for my simple mods, I think I'm nearing 300RWHP, so for me that's exciting!

Okay, so it isn't BIG mods, and, slowly but surely, right guys?

Next step, Hotcam & ported/polished heads, but that'll have to wait till next year.

I'm excited

I'm getting it from one of the guys here, it's madwolf, I have read from lots of others here that madwolf is great, he's very knowledgeable, and he'll design the chip for me, which he has done, he's sending the new one I think I should be receiving it today. Soon as I get it I'm going to install it, so I'm very excited!

The chip worked great!...

Until I blew the driver's side exhaust gasket, hopefully that's all I did. The car is at Superior Automotive as we speak, they're going to tell me what I did, hopefully all I did was blow out the exhaust gasket & not bend a pushrod or anything like that...

I'll keep y'all posted.

Yeah what a pain in the ***...

Damn, I want my car to rock, yet realistically, I should keep the engine mods to a minimum, shoot it's got 170K miles on it now, I don't want to kill it. I figure I'll keep it going for at least another 100K miles, then I'll put in a fresh engine, either a 383 or a 396, with CNC polished heads & LT4 hotcam, forged internals, blueprinted & balanced, I'll have that my car humming! I'll probably go thru NuTek Motorsports, they have a rather great rep for LT1 engines.

But that's a while from now. In the meantime, I'll keep adding here & there...

I think I'm going to replace my exhaust, either the Magnaflow cat back or go crazy & get the GMMG chambered catback exhaust???

Carlos if want an idea of what your car will sound like with a GMMG listen to my LT1 powered El Camino. It has a set of Sweet Thunder chambered exhausts on it. Basically the same as a GMMG. I take it Fudd's almost every week.

Carlos, sound like you've got the mod virus like the rest of us You're doing the right thing by upgrading the Exhaust and Intake first... Don't consider Boost, N2O, or 383 until you're set with all of your bolt-ons. Suspension and rear diff included. At least if you get your intake and exhaust taken care of, then tuning will be a little more stabilized... but it is so addicting.

I really want a supercharger, but $4200 for the kit and intercooler.
383 will cost me about $3800 for what I want to do not counting porting the heads
Tuning will be $500 on a dyno with a wideband O2 sensor
Fuel pump, fuel injectors, fuel regulator... $$$

So, it keeps adding up... I just may go the N2O route for now... it can always be added to a supercharger anyways...

I'll include a list with my mods...
