Track prep at Irwindale is superb. Nice tradeoff for the fact that it's only 1/8th mile.

Fontana is nice IMO. I am going there on 04/07 which is this Saturday. Its $20 to race and $10 to spectate. you usually get anywhere from 3-6 runs. But if your like me I tell them there is 2 drivers, so I usually get 6-12 runs You should come join me.

There is also Perris (which is a haul from you) 1/8 th mile. If you get there early, you can get in several runs before the crowd shows-up. Costs $30 to run and is limited to the 1st 100 cars.

I have never ran at Irwindale, so I can't tell you about the track prep. I got tired of the crowd that was there about 3~4 years ago and have not been back since. I wouldn't mind going again, but the Thursday night only time just doesn't work for me...(I leave for work at 4:30AM)
There is Fontana (1/4 mile)- relatively nice facility. I liked the old track much better than the new one, plus they just don't know how to get cars down the track anymore. A typical Street Legal race will only get you 3 runs and you have to be in the parking lot at 5AM.

LA County Raceway (1/4 mile). I have not been there in years however, it it seems to be well liked by the racers and does OK for being 3000 ft.

Famoso, North of Bakersfield (1/4 mile). About the same drive for you as Perris. They run several Friday nights during the summer and an occasional test & tune on the weekend.

yeah theyve been saying that for years. very soon it will be gone.

i lived in palmdale forever and it used to be great, now its nothing but ricers. i was just there this friday and its still awesome, but with so many street cars racing on street tires you cant hook worth a ****.
