Do you drive around Burbank at all? Ever see a black z28 LP "LT1 MARO" ? Thats mine, needs body work but motor is fairly strong. Gotta show me your rides sometime man. Any tips for getting the manifolds off? Thanks.

depends on what part of burbank. seeing as how lots of ground is called burbank. I live off of glenoaks and verdugo, in the hills just east of the media center. Ive seen a black camaro that had a flat black fender, but it had an ls1 front end. didnt notice the plate. AND theres an ls1 trans am that flies up my street everyday

id love to show you my car, but its parked at my grandpas until I can afford to get it running

as for the manifolds...soak the bolts in penetrating spray, and have lots of patience

Both went in from the bottom, install was a major PITA, nitemare job but as usual it was worth it. but ever since the car starts up real rough almost violently, not every time but once and a while, seems like it backfires through the intake and almost shuts the car off, it has shut itself off once, coulda been a bad tank of gas or somehting jsut filled up about 3 miles ago didn't do it afterwards, we'll see.

sounds like what mind was doing after my header install, but I also just replaced plugs, cut and crimp my own wires, and replaced a blown head gasket, which meant adjusting rockers and such,. so it was hard as hell to pinpoint the problem. still cant but its out of my hands now

Re: Burbank So Cal area

does your car have trouble starting in general, and when it does, it shuts off quickly? because thats what mine did, but I had the dealer check it out and they blamed the rockers being too tight, but then said after they were adjusted properly it still misfired in 3 cyclinders and ran really rough

im hoping the misfiring is due to my plugs and or wires. wont cost too much to get it taken care of, and I will have my baby back on the road

wow, talk about local. You guys are right in my backyard. I live in L.A. but lived my life mostly in Glendale (school). I see a lot of 4th gens around, but only one with Z06's. I wonder if it was one of your cars. Well, this is my car, pretty distinguished since I put the black ZR1 wheels on there. Really makes the car stand out, even with the shi*ty paint job. I work in Burbank, so you'll see me on the I5- five days a week. Good to know there's some local locals on here. Keep an eye out.
