Talking Broke down on the 57-10, maybe you saw me.

had a bit of a break down on the 10 onramp the other day while on my way to work. I have a tubular aftermarket panhard bar on mine, and the bolt holding the bar to the axle decided to snap on me. I just heard these noses that sounded like something dragging under the car.

funny thing is, i knew almost instantly what it was even without getting out of the car. scarry.

so anyways, I pulled a MacGuyver real quick and walked up the shoulder a ways and picked up a few spare bolts and a hunk of metal off a truck. i used the hunk of metal to hammer the bar back into the braket and picked out one of the bolts that i scavanged off the road to fit into the hole. made it to work and back. but i was sweating bullets all the way.

haha, the other thing too was that when the bar came off, it had just stopped raining. and as soon as i was back on the road, the rain started back up again. it was perfect.

heh, you're probably wondering why i'm so cheerful about my car breaking down... that part was ****, but everything else just came together so well, i can't help but be happy about it. it's also the first time i can honestly say the ol' girl really let me down. hoping it won't become a habit.
