October 24th, at Speedworld. Directions and more information about the track can be found here: http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com
Also, AZMustangs and Arizona Supras (8 and 9 second Supras only) will be there too!
Format will be racing in time classes, single elimination. Racers may participate in no more than two time classes. The time class you will run in will depend on what your ET is. You are allowed a .15 breakout in each category.... i.e. you can run a 11.85 and still be considered to be in the 12 second category.
Here are the time class breakouts-
9.85-10.99 = 10 second class
10.85-11.99= 11 second class
11.85-12.99= 12 second class
12.85-13.99= 13 second class
13.85-14.99= 14 second class
14.85-15.99= 15 second class
15.85-16.99= 16 second class
Each racer will put $5-$10 (probably $5) into a pot to race on top of the $15 entry fee. The money that goes into the pot will be distributed to the winners of each of the seven time classes. In addition, we will have additional cash prizes to be given to the best reaction time of the day. I will have discusssions with the board members to figure out if and how we could maybe integrate some club funds to sweeten up the pot a little, or to add trophies. A $5 per person pot for say $40 people would yield $28 per winner.
There are no restrictions on tires you can run, etc, but please make sure you can pass tech.
We will start out with 2-3 time trial passes for everyone (only two if we're running short on time), then we will go to the time class racing. Since it's single elimination, we will have a lane for time only for those that want to keep running.
Please sign up here so we can get an accurate head count for the event. WE ONLY HAVE 40 SPOTS AVAILABLE, SO FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!! Thanks!!!
