Anything going on this weekend in AZ?

I know that last weekend was the race track, sorry I missed it. Is there anything going on this weekend? I saw on the AZFBA website that you guys go to the Pavilions. Where is that? The weather is suppose to be nice this weekend and I am looking to see if there is anthing going on.

Pavillions is located right off of the 101 and Indian Bend rd.They all meet up in in the Best Buy/McDonalds parking lot on the North side of the rd.I believe people start getting there around 5 or 6pm on Saturdays. It is a pretty good time lots of nice cars there too.I used to go to school in PHX and miss going to Pavillions especially since it is getting so cold up here in Michigan again. All of our cars are put away already.

Yep... There should be a decent number of cars now since the weather has gotten better...

We usually park infront of the Levitz Furniture - parking Aisle.

Hmmm - Maybe I should bring up a caravan from the Arrowhead Mall and see how many peeps we get to caravan - Although that 101 Closing has made it a bit exciting on the way to the Pavillions.

YEah the great game of "What part of 101 will be closed this weekend?"
Gotta love it!
Last weekend was a stone cold bitch to get around at all in the valley with all the freeway closures...
Tom and I might say the hell with it and head down to the old pueblo for SuperChevy.

How far is it Val? Maybe we can get some of the AZFBA crew to go? Maybe?

Richard.. it's Tuscon, it's about an hour and a half south of Phoenix, just head south on I10.
Tom and I are still tossing ideas around. I know the thirdgen.org guys are leaving Sat morning at 8am. I don't think I want to be up and moving that early on a Saturday.
Eitherway it's a nice time of year to take a cruise out of town.

He he he - Sorry, still getting use to what places are called...

Last time I went to Tucson there was a whole lot of nothing. Is there any good places to stay there? Maybe I can drag the family with me and spend the weekend there if there's anything good there..

The SuperChevy is in Tucson? Is there anything else going on this weekend that is closer. I live not far from Arrowhead mall and i was looking to see if anything is going on that is closer. The Pavillions seem like a good place to go, maybe I will try that. Thanks guys for the help, its kinda hard meeting new people and going places when you are new in town.

If you live near Arrowhead mall, just look around for DesertFox or myself. We live in that area and the white SS vert or the grey and silver 3rd gen are hard to miss on the street. There just aren't that many of them around.

On weekends when the group does go to the Pavillions there is usually a caravan that leaves from the Sears Autocenter at Arrowhead for the drive east. Keep an eye on the Events section of AZFBA.com to see if a caravan is heading that way. Just look for threads mentioning the creW....

I'd say I know what we're doing this weekend but Val hasn't told me yet...

Hey Tom - Val

Maybe you guys should just stay within Phoenix so we can all hang out and visit the pavillions

BLondeFbody - you should post on the AZFBA site.. you can help me get a group going to visit the Pavillions this weekend.

Richard dear, will you be able to go to the Pavallions this weekend.
I know you're usually busy with the family (which is a GOOD thing).
No plans yet, so the resident AZFBA old farts are pretty flexible.

Yes! I'm actually planning on it. I've worked more than 140 hours the past 7 days... I need AIR!!!!

That's why I'd prefer to see familiar faces.. I'll probably have the crazy little dude with me if the weather is good.. lol

Okay, Richard, if you bring the little dude, we could bring the Nugget and they could play while we sit around and look at the cars.

Nugget prefers to be held and petted constantly so she might be able to keep him in one spot. At least until she gets the urge to bounce on someone else for a minute. Ava could keep him in one spot though. Not sure you want him pinned down by the shepherd though since she outweighs the little dude.... maybe we could bring a small saddle for her and he could ride her around the show. Have to think about this one for a bit since the girls love going out in public where new people can stop and pet them and kids seem to love the dogs, especially the little Nugget....
