Arrow 2nd Annual Los Angeles Invasion May 23-25

The website is updated and you can sign up now

www.losangelesinvasion.com/index.htm

Most questions can be answered on the website.

it will be all day TNT (no brackets this year) so you should get a few more passes.

I am still working on a Skidpad and/or burnout competition.

The auto cross is NEW

I wold like to split up some of the events to different days i.e. Racing/car show, but I need to work on rearranging the shcedule to accomodate that and not sure it will be this year. I am thinking we will move the car show to the dyno day so we can get more participation.

We are going to do 2 Dyno days and pit Shop vs. Shop for the crown so be sure to sign up with your respective loyalties to support them. Limit 20 per shop.

This year it will be
1. STD Street Tuning and Dyno

vs.

2. CMS Cunningham Motorsports

There will be trophies for King of the Dyno for each shop as well as One for the shop that 1. Higherst HP and 2. total combined HP

So be sure to show your support in this event and sign up.

ROTW Cruise will be unchanged still a catered BBQ at the top (Chicken and Tri Tip etc...) Hope to have over 100 cars this year and some warmer weather. Bring your Football, Friszbee, etc... for soe entertainment at the park and camera for some awesome views.

Last year we has 155 Drag race cars. Same limit this year to 150.

Live band, Bikini Girls, Raffle, Car show (larger thou) Beer garden should all be in place again this year.

Last year 3 NHRA licences got issued at our event!!! including our own Mike Haddad

Plus the Auto Cross will be limited to 50 cars and held in the Northern parking lot of California Speedway. A course of orange cones will be set up and there will be some corners et up to test your driving ability. Sessions will be 20 -40 minutes (I will leave that to who I designed to run that event)

Flyers will be available to everyone to pass out and help build the event, please PM if you would like some and we can meet up at some point.

If you can help wil sponsors that would be appreciated. We do not have a car stereo shop yet! and yet we all love tunes and this would be a great opportunity for a shop so If you know one that may be interested let me know.

Perhaps we could set up a Sound off competition as well.

Be sure to sign up early for the racing last year it sold out and some folks were dissappointed.

The website will be updated every few days so please don't panic if you do not see you name up there right away. Also make sure to tell me your screen name so i can match it to who you are (this prevents duplicates and mistakes)

Lets go have some Fun!

There are at least 10 of us going from the Phoenix area. We are still rallying the troops for more though.

As far as an AZ Event of this sort. We have been in talks with our local GTO club about trying to get something together for next spring based out of Firebird... that is all just an idea at this time though.

Mark,
I looked up your account and activated it as well as granting you the 90 day Honorary Member status which will allow you to peruse most of the board to check things out. Let me know if you still have problems with logging on.

Ruben and I just took over the club as Pres and Vice Pres two months ago, along with an overall changing of the guard with our club. We are working on many improvements, one of which is the neglected accounts. We have been slowly ramping back up club activity with monthly cruises and get-togethers around the Phoenix valley.

We really appreciate the helping hand for aiding our efforts for an AZ Invasion based event. I’m sure we will hit you up for info as the time draws near.

We do have quite a few Corvette clubs around the valley. I am not sure which of them have been contacted so far.

Feel free to hit us up on our board anytime. Thanks.

David

Hey David,

I signed up to your site under my same username. I really didn't get a chance to browse much yet and see how much dues were or how to proceed. When I get more time I will look into it further.

A couple guys from down here were talking about heading up to Phx for some track time. Any dates coming up where we can head up there and get on the track? I really want to get a baseline as far as 1/4 times.

Let me know.

Hey John,
I sent you an email about activating your account. We are going to the track (Firebird) next Saturday. Here is a link to the info.

http://www.azfba.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=19244

This time of year we go to the track(s) at least once or twice a month. My wife was the one racing our car last weekend at Firebrid.

Thanks, I got the email. As far as getting up there this Saturday probably isn't gonna work for me. I need to replace my fuel pump and some other minor stuff before I drag her for the first time. I will definately be up soon though. My sis lives up there and it's about time I pop in for a visit.

As far as what you guys are doing with the club it looks like it's working. I visited the site about a year ago and didn't see much going on. We might have to talk about getting a Yuma chapter going. There are alot of f-bodies running around here. I might have to try and gather them all up.

The site is being updated every 2 days now. It is current. i opened registration to all makes and models now for the Drag Racing so it should fill up quick now. I do plan to have extra parts on hand for sale i.e. used 10 bolt, drive shaft in case anyone breaks this will just be to help out not trying to make a buck.

Also I need everyone to register ASAp I need to sumbit numbers for ROTW Cruise by the 15th
