where are you located? I'm trying to avoid shipping hassles. How much you looking to get? I see them go for 150-200 so name your price.

Yes. I had big plans for this car a couple years ago, but my DD crapped out on me and I parted it off, then sold the car.

I have new comp springs, retainers, locks, etc.. I plan on doing a home port job, then taking them in to get machined to fit my springs (comp 978's), and milled. I have been looking around for a cam for a while, seeing what kinda deals come up on here, etc... I haven't found anything that really appeals to me, so I might end up calling combo motorsports again and seeing what they think I should do.

Basically I just want a spare set of heads so I can have something fully assembled so as soon as I pull the heads that are on now, I can drop a new set in.

I'm going for about 375+ HP without too much cam. I want the car to be streetable. Good idle, gas mileage, etc...

thats where I bought my valve train stuff from for my LT1. and my rotating assembly after that. lol. anyways great bunch of guys. how "streetable" are you looking for? you'll prolly want something in the mid-to-upper 22x range. just not sure if you'll get the HP you want AND keep it idle smooth/good gas mileage. is your car a stick or auto? stick's can get away with a little bigger cam and retain more streetablity for some reason. you goin to get a dyno tune? my cam is a 233/239 .580 lift 112lsa cam and I love it. ofcourse, my eng. is a 383, so it'll act a little more docile then in stock cube eng., but I did drive this cam for 500mles before my stock shortblock went out to lunch and it drove excellent then too. nice amount of lope to it. but nothing extreme. my mailorder tune from madz28 worked excellent too, until I installed a 9.5" 3800 stall conv.. now it has just a bit of cam surge in the lower rpms. but that will be handled with a dynotune Im getting in spring.
if you want I can send you some pics of my home ported LT1 heads and some pro pics just for reference sake. let me know if you want them.

Man, that would be awesome. I'd love to see pics. Thank you! The 233/239 was the cam I was looking at a while back. I decided to go with something smaller, the dude at combination kinda talked me out of it. He said that if I didn't want to take the car into upper RPM's, that was not the cam for me. He recommended like a 226/233 I think it was. I told him I'd have to get some more info.

I want to stay under 6200 RPM's. My car turned 100k and I really don't want to have to spin it high under any circumstance.

I put some more info about my car in my sig.
