$200-$300? You'll be lucky if it has an engine that runs for that price. You will need at least $500 for a decent hooptie. That will even get you a borderline POS that needs work.

I could do $350 FIRM on the car I'm selling. It runs great - and you could drive it home (only 76k miles).

Check out the site for more info:

All the contact info is on the site.

Go to an auto auction. I could find $150-$200 cars all day long that ran good at thje end of the night when the donation vehicles came through.

The only problem with that is some auctions don't start the car or let you drive them before they run. You buy "As Is" - and pray for the best. It sounds like he is pretty strapped for cash (look for a VERY cheap car), and it may not be a chance he is willing to take.

Just my .02.

94camaro34 - Let me know if you're interested in my car, maybe we can work something out.

I'll be selling my 91 cavelier. I want $500 for it though. needs nothing and Ive done tons of work to it. batt, starter, alt, belt, wires & plugs, on and on. it is kinda rusty, and has a small windsheild leak, but other then that its perfect. drive anywhere. awesome gas mileage.

email if interested.

I go to grand valley, you can get in, start the car and check for whatever you want. The cars get a tranny check before the sale is completed as long as you ask. As long as you know what you are doing, you won't get burned.
