Who's a decent fabricator?

I am looking for a starting stand or two. We are outfitting a 40x60 shop for some serious hot rod building this winter. I'd like a couple of engine starting stands at a decent price. Or perhaps someone wants to build one in exchange for some parts?

I'd like a spot for a battery, a radiator mount, a set of gauges, starter switch, hour meter, etc.

Anyone wanna make one or sell me one (or two)?

You know, I was just thinking of doing that last week! What do you consider a decent price? What do you want it made out of? 2" square tubing is what I was thinking. And adding a brace to mount the tranny too would be cool I think.

yeah 2" square would be fine. I don't really need a trans mount so much I don't think.
As far as price? Heck I dunno... Decent enough to make me not go through the hassle of borrowing the arc welder and putting it together myself.

Just think about it, a trans mount wouldn't have to be used all the time. Just make it so it bolts on. then you could test a trans rebuild before putting it in the car!!! As for price, if you could make one yourself, why not go out and buy the arc welder and make one yourself? you'd save enough money to pay for the welder. you'd be surprised at how much work it is to build one. Not including the price of steel which goes up and down every day. Heck, you might even have stumbled onto a money making sideline! Seeing as how you have a 40X60. I'd be willing to bet you wouldn't touch one made for less than 800-1000 bucks. That's painted and nice gages etc.
