Thinking about getting a loudmouth for my 1st mod on my new (but used) car. The car is just too quiet with the stock exhaust. Or any other suggestions.

My next mod will probably be SLP headers w/cats.

Just wondering if that would be too loud or tolerable for street driving.

Yep when I went with an off-road y-pipe I had to chop out the resonator and replace it with a dynomax bullit and changed to resonator tips just to knock the edge off of the rasp.
Like Robvas said get something mellower than the Loudmouth.

 

Yeah... if you're worrying about it being too loud... don't get it... especially if you're planning on getting headers... I have cats still on mine, and it's way loud... headers are coming on when I get the new motor (mine blew up)... so, we'll see if I need a Dynomax Race Magnum instead of the resonator then...

 

have it, and love it. wouldn't run anything else other then maybe a true dual set up with 2 chambered flowmasters and h pipe.
