thousand bucks, owwwww!

I was loading the car, seen him pull out, punch it, it built boost and looked like the flaps were up and ready for take off. It accelerated so fast that he couldnt stop and locked up the skinnies all the way to the stop light.

Anyone standing by the road see anything different?

John, what was up with the MAFT?

I saw someone leave the lot and hit it. That car took off got a little sideway. It took a little work getting it stopped and keeping it straight. The street had some water on it and I think one side grabbed harder than the other causing the car to get a little out of shape.I can't say whos car it was or who was driving. There were alot of cars leaving around then. It sure did leave hard.

The car stalled and started back up then stalled again and wouldnt start. After bypassing the Timing Tuner, it started again, went another block and died. I disconnected the MAF Translator and it started. At the Mobil station at 13 and Woodward, Jeff hooked up the Timing Tuner again and it was flashing the green light which means all circuts are ok and it made it home fine with the translator still unplugged. The car is throwing P0158 trouble code which is a bad rear O2 so I have a bad O2 sim, but I never heard of that stalling the engine. Jeff was showing the timing tuner to Francis and unplugged it, and he thinks he didnt plug it back in right, but the car still stalled after I bypassed the TT. Its getting 2 new O2 sims today and I'm plugging the translator back in to see if it stalls again.

Everyone was pretty much packed up at that point. I dont think any cameras were out. I think a video tape would hurt his cause in court anyway. To people like us it didnt look that bad but I am sure a police officer or judge would disagree. I think $1000 is a bit hefty. To his advantage there were really no cars around and he was no where near any pedestrians.

I saw the incident. There were no pedestrians on that side of Woodward at all. There were no cars except the ones that left our lot IN FRONT of him. The police had the street blocked off. Case probably doesn't look good but we are talking about the Judicial system here. They aren't exactly car enthusiasts like we are, they just wouldn't understand that what he did was pretty tame compared to what that car is capable of. Oh yeah, there was a ton of water all over the street. There were guys with 1 gallon jugs and cooler water just 'a dumpin away.

Actually there were pedestrians.
A $1000.00 dollar ticket is harsh but manslaughter charges would have been worse.
My wife, myself, my buddy Glenn and my buddy Tom were all sitting right in front of our TTA's and his headlights were pointed right at us as he lost control if he wouldn't have gotten control of his car he could have plowed into us.
Needless to say my wife called him every name in the book once he got control of his car since she's convinced he could have killed us.

OUCH!!! Sorry to hear the bad news on the ticket.

If you do choose Steve to defend your case...please make sure "STEVE" is going to be your attorney. He has another guy that takes some of his cases...Adam Alexander and I think that guy is pretty shaddy(just my oppinion).

Well, I had Steve Letho defend a case for me a long time ago when I first purchased my Trans Am. It wasn't a traffic violation, but a dealership warranty mistake. Needless to say, he did a wonderful job and I was compensated more then I hoped. He's pretty good and would recommend him.

Yeah, I was standing at the entrance watching you 4 leave. From what I saw, he was in the middle to far-left lane and maybe got to about 45 degrees sideways. I guess that is too dangerous for some people.

On the other hand, it was awesome to hear those turbos spool up!

I agree with Matt. Brady was nowhere near anyone when the car got sideways. He was in the second from the inside lane of Woodward.

$1000 fine for smoking the tires is insane! I guess the cities gotta pay for the cop's overtime somehow.

I hope he can beat the charge.

BTW It was cool as hell to hear the turbos spool and tear those big Hoosiers loose like that.

She didn't say he was near us she said he was pointed right at us and if he didn't get control of his car could have headed right towards us.
Please feel to take the mater up with my wife at the next gathering, I'm only relaying her opinion.
Now in my opinion I have no problem with what he did as noone got hurt BUT as cool as his burnout was I saw that ticket coming a mile away.

Darn - we left too early! Wish I would have seen that! Here I am so impressed with myself with actually doing my first burn-out and I missed a real one! Hope Brady was able to get out of it without too much trouble.

Oklahoma? Ok - I'll bring the cookies!
