Where in Michigan to have true duals done?

I've called a couple places in the Detroit area, and so far, nobody will touch the car w/o cats. I'm in the process of installing the long-tubes I just bought. An hour here, an hour there, but I've been callin around to get ideas. I don't want to take it to some ghetto shop, but in my area I keep gettin the same answer. We don't have emission testing in Michigan, but I've even told acouple guys that the car was not driven on the street, and flash my badge too, and they won't touch it. Anybody in Troy, Royal Oak, northern suburb area know a good shop to do it.

Well I did my own which was very simple, because of this same problem. Actually I did find one place that would do it for around 300 bucks, but building it myself cost about 100. My point is if you can't find a shop maybe someone who has done this will do it for you real cheap in their yard. I would post this on the Michigan forum if you haven't already. The one place that would do it for me without cats was in pontiac. I don't remember the name but it was on I believe Woodard just south of M59. I guess you could get a phone book and just call all those in that area

your in luck....I have a set I am selling! Full length true duals. These are over the axle and exit out the rear. Best sounding exhaust you will ever hear! Email me if interested.

Thanks for the input fellas. Thanks anyways MBonZ28, but I think I want to exit before the axles to make gas tank removal in the future easier.

He is located in Chesterfield. Try doing a search in the yellow pages for Performance Fabrication and Engineering (PF&E).

My uncle owns a muffler man in Flint. He will do it for ya. He has an awesome exhaust guy there.
email me at greeneyes56@hotmail.com and I will give you the info. I don't wanna give it here since it is something they can get in trouble for doing.

Garys work is second to none as far as I'm concerned but if you can't wait for him to get you in call Doug Jr. at Dougs Muffler 586-469-0099 he does awesome work too. As good as Gary but Gary uses mandrel bends.

Thanks everybody, once again, this message board is invaluable...I contacted gary cook and he's going to get me in tomorrow if the weather is decent and I can get the z on the road. He beat dougs price by 25.00 plus he's doing a H-pipe and doug wasn't. Nothing against doug though.
