where is everybody?

so where did everyone go? did the demise of new camaros really kill the amount of people in the MI section or is everyone spending time elsewhere?

this has always been one of the few boards where people aren't calling each other names, it would be nice to see new life again.

I come on occasionally. I've lost interest in my Camaro and GM in general (no pun intended). The Camaro will likely be for sale next summer. I want to put some miles on it for a few months in the spring and then sell it. I'm ready to move on to Ford or someone else or maybe replace it with a turbo Buick, Syclone or a classic car.

I check here daily but posting here daily isn't really needed because it's for state related stuff only I guess. I post in tech and the lounge. This regional forum is still great for info in our area, especially for newbies, sponsor info, etc.. What would you like posted here? Most people that keep in touch do it via faster means. If I need to talk to JeffKandied I scroll through the cell and that's how your listed...haha

Car info..

Hey Al, I put on a 26" ET Street and gained a consistant 7+mph...30+ on the back half N/A. 11.26 dropped to 11.05 @ 127.7 but only a .03 reduction in 60 foot......wierd huh? Can't wait to get a clean hose pass!

You probably would have gotten the same results with a 10-12% gear change. That's the price of running a 'glide at your power/weight level.
The nice thing about changing tire sizes is it's way cheaper and easier than gear changes.
And you may very well find that you will need a taller tire for a big hit off the line.

But you might want to think about the inefficiencies of your combo over the winter. You ran 11.05 at 127, I run 11.05 at 120-121. Your wasting 6mph somewhere. I would think that with a well setup 3 speed trans and the right tire/gear you could be mid tens on motor.

Hey Chris..glad to hear he's being a handful!!

Scott's car was up for sale as a rolling chassis. His engine was parted out also.

His car also ran just as quick leaving in second gear...which I believe made him buy a glide off a MM member...Not sure if he ever ran it.
