Anyway, I get a letter in the mail today. The supplier he used for his materials ha placed a lien on my house. Along with 20 thers so far, and they are adding 5 more a week.

Basically he owes them $175,000 and has not paid them. The reason they liened my house is because he owed me around $15,000 and since I am remodeling my house, he said I could charge my roofing materials there to offset some of the money he owed me. Apparently he stopped paying them before the bill from my house was paid.

This gets worse. I am in the process of refinancing the house. The appraisal is 1 week from today. This means I will end up having to pay for the materials so my lien will be lifted or else I will not be able to refinance. GRRR

If this happens, I probably won't see any money from him as reimbursement. He has got to be on the virge of declaring bakruptcy anyway.

I know someone still working in the office there. They say he plans on paying all the lienes off, but when mine came in he said "Well there's one I won't worry about paying"

I can't afford a lawyer right now. This blows.
