What shops can tune a TPI's PCM?

What shops in SE Michigan can tune the PCM on my 1985 350 TPI for my larger cam? I have found some places that I can order a custom chip from but are there any places around Novi area that could do custom tuning or do I have to order a chip?

I am going to check with ARE tomorrow. I will let you know. I am installing a supercharger on my IROC and will need it done. I will get back to you.

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I talked with a buddy of mine that used to be a tech over in Pontiac at that Vette shop and he installed the cam in your car. He said it never was right for the combo but they took the engine builder's advice and used it anyway. My buddy couldn't recall the exact cam profile but he did say it wasn't optimal for that engine.

What do you mean by "wasn't optimal"? Would I be better off just swapping out the cam for a more stock size? I'd hate to do this because it was just put in.

If it was just put in then maybe my buddy's is referring to a different car because he hasn't worked there in over a year.

Anyhow if it is the same car he said it never ran right. His thinking was it that it was the camshaft that the engine builder selected.

i dont know of any good shops but i do know of one bad one that nobody should ever take their car to. never take it to dragos in flint. they specialize in ripping off people with corvettes and the occasional firebird and camaro owners. trust me i know first hand.

later,

why not try one yourself like some of the guys here?

or you can check out chips that are done over at thirdgen.org

you don't really flash our computers like the newer setups. you will need a chip.
