Westsiders??

anyone used the ferry to travel over to wisconsin? would it be better to just go down and around?

anyone know if you could fit a 2500 sized truck and 26' enclosed trailer on there or is that to big?

Best bet is to call them. It's a 4 hour trip each way across the lake. So depending on where your going in WI it could easily make for a much shorter trip. I've gone a couple times just for the heck of it, but never taken a vehicle, so I'm not sure how they charge for that. Actually I can't even remember what they charge just to ride. At any rate depending on their prices you could both save time and money by just using the ferry. Nice trip too, they've got an on board movie theatre, kareoke, bar, dinner, etc. Pretty cool.

For the one in Ludington, use the website, www.ssbadger.com . There is also a new one that departs from Muskegon and is supposedly twice as fast and the website is, www.milwaukee-muskegon.com . The second one doesn't give prices but since it's new this year, I'd expect them to be higher.

One of our truck drivers at work has used it with his semi to bring back wrecks from Wisconsin. You should have no problems.
