Hey Q,

The van you are giving away for free, What does that have in it for a motor?? I just picked up a 79 Mustang Drag car on Saturday and it is set up for a 351W and a C4 trans. If the van has either, I will come and fetch it.Also I am looking for a 8.8 rear end for a fox body if you know of any around for cheap.

Thanks
James

The freebie has a 300 6 cy in it. If you were ambitious and tore the head off, you could fix it. Only has 90k orginal on it. Use to be a factory van, and never left the lot.

Q,
I was hoping that it had a 351 in it, but for free I could'nt complain.I know those 300's run forever. How do you think it would tow a car and open trailer??That is if it was fixed.I am guessing it would work the crap out of it.But then again Stanton is only 30 to 45 min away from where I live.Do you think it could make the trip?? That would also be a cheap winter beater.Let me think about it.We are trying to get our place cleaned up not bring more home. But then again with you being a car guy,You know how it is.

It would make a great winter beater, that is what I used it for. I would strap a core motor from work in the back and away I went. Went thru snow like it wasnt even there. As for towing, I have a friend who tows his S-10 drag truck with a 300 6 cyl. Seems to do fine, it has a C6 three speed in it. The 79 I am selling has the 351 in it.....
