there's 4 or 5 of their songs I like, but probably not enough for me to go see them. Silent Lucidity really killed it for me. Ya gotta like Jet City Woman, Empire, etc

I'll try to keep this on Topic, I remember Queensryche Opening for Kiss at Cobo in 84 or 85, it must of been the EP or Warning Tour.
I was side stage about 15 feet from stage, they Kicked ***! been a fan ever since

Man They did a great cover of the old Fleetwood Mac tune. Then the other main stay was "Desire".

Man Dave Gilbert could Whail out the vocals.
Johnny the "Bee" and the boys were HOT in the Early Eightys.
I just checked my "vinyl" collection and I don't have it. You know who might...
T/a Jack ,He has a HUGE "vinyl" collection, he worked a wabx while in collage.
Man did you bring back memories asking about the rockets. You see in high school there were a group of us guys that hung out, party'd, you know "the guys"
well there was many a friday nite party'n in Jimmy ledfords basement and you'd hear the door open upstairs, the laughter of Jill and Dave coming in and Dave singing:
"DESIRE BABY BABY TAKEN ME HIGHER< DESIRE BABY I"M IN LOVE WITH YOU>>>"
Jill was Jimmys sister and Dave Gilbert was her guy!
What a couple they were, Desire was about Jill. Jill was so nice very hot very very hot.
Closing out the bar one nite at center stage for last call her and a friend were driving home back to waterford a drunk driver hit them, at 8 mile and woodward crushing Jill and the passenger into that concrete structure.
They were killed
That funeral was a tuff one and if you were in Detroit at that time it was all over the radio about Jill and the tragic loss to dave and the family. There were alot of tears that afternoon when Jill was lay'd to rest.
Auther P, Doug Podell, The rockets, the look, Robin Zander of cheap trick, buddy from cheap trick, ya it was a very sad day for alot of good friend's of Jill Ledford.

The band tour the following year and Dave was heart broken as you would know if you were at pine **** that nite when he sung a tribute to her. That was the last time the rockets play'd in Detroit and the fire was gone it seemed.
Dave Gilbert passed away a few months back sad to say but maybe Jill and Dave are together party'n again...one could hope so.
