Two Thumbs Up For MT ET STreet Radials

I just had my new 275/40/17 MT ET Street Radials put on today. Man these things hook great! Driving on the way home I hit it a couple times from a 20 mph roll. I had Nitto drags on the car before the MT. From a 20 Mph roll I could blaze the tires up, now, hook and go! All I can say is, WOW. The car sticks like never before. You can really tell how soft the tires are when you swerve the rear floats a little as the tires are not stiff.

All I can say is I see new best 60' times coming soon. I just need to have my car checked out one more time before I hit the track. I am hoping I can get out there this Wednesday.

I HIGHLY recommend taking a look at these tires. Not sure they will last a long time but should be fun while they last.

Thanks,

Bill

Just a word of warning on the MT street radials. I found that on the street from a roll of out of the hole when the rubber is cold the tires will start to spin but once they get heat in them they suddenly dead hook and I think that shock will have a tendency to transfer throught he drivetrain and either break the rear, driveshaft or tranny. I have been lucky that it didn't happen the first couple of times I did it but I quickly learned to not do it.

Start saving for a 12-bolt :X

You should be alright with 3.23s though...first trip to the track on my MTs I broke a few teeth off my ring gear (but that was with 3.73s in the stock rear).
