traded in the vert

Well I hate to say it but I just got sick and tired of having a garage queen. A friend called me and he said he found a used blue silverado SS exactly like I was looking for. Drove from Clio to owosso and ended up driving it home. I took my z vert with 10,000 miles on it and ended up trading it in. They gave me 12,000 for it. I lost a few grand on it but I just wanted to get out of it. I am liking the idea of only having one car to maintain, pay insurance on and such. I tell ya the SILVERADO SS has some power. It runs great having the 345 horses. Now I just have to learn what mods wake these 6.0s up.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my WS6, but I'm looking at C5 convertibles.

Kurt Urban installed a turbo on his Silverado ss and I saw it run an 11.90 with a soft leave at the north south shootout. Not bad for a 5300lb vehicle.

There's a guy on LS1Tech who has a 1500 silverado with a cmotorsports (I believe) turbo kit that's running like 10.90's on a small shot of juice. I don't believe it's a stock engine though. It's crazy watching the video, seeing a plain-jane worktruck going through the traps to the tune of 10.90!

Yup it's the blue 1500 4x4. 13psi of boost and a 75 shot. 10.91 and I don't remember the mph. I remember in the same video he does a 2wd wheel spin for about a half a mile. Sounds like a jet flying by when he goes past. Awesome truck. I bet the SS would kick some major **** with a similar setup. Perfect traction that's for sure. Does the SS already have the HD trans case and other HD upgrades? I know the guy with that blue truck has upgraded to those things.

Ya there are a few silverado ss's running around with super chargers and turbos plus nitrous. I was told these trucks have hd trans/transfer case and other hd parts. They do hook for sure. I am just planning on doing cold air, exhaust, and pcm4less tune. I have been doing some research and looks like these mods will wake the truck up. I was shock to see people seeing alot of extra ponies with these mods. It would be sweet to have a 375 horse truck running around without major work. people have said a tune is worth like 20 ponies alone, I will believe that when I feel it. I guess they might have some major restrictions with the muff/air box/puter. This is my everyday driver so I am not gonna get crazy like I did on my 94.
