track rules?

i have a few questions for M8 that i couldn't find answers for. they say that the tech inspection will follow the rule book but i can't find specifics for my questions.

my car is pretty much stock in the way of "nhra" added goodies and i need to know if i have to change things to run down the track. i haven't had any problems at other events i attended with tech inspection, but stanton isn't a exactly a short drive and i want to make sure i at least get down the track once.

how important is a driveshaft loop?

do i have to have an outside battery shutoff since mine is in the rear?

beyond a helmet, we don't have to wear anything out of the ordinary correct?

what types of things should i make sure i have on the car. i don't plan to run an outrageous number so i just want to make sure i don't need to worry.

I've never seen tech look under a car but that doesn't mean that they can't.
You really do need the outside power switch for a relocated battery as I've seen them ask guys to start their cars so they could test the switch.

yeah i just don't want something on the outside of the car for that. i don't race enough to justify the need.

You could always put the battery back up front

When I ran my Mustang at the toys for tots race a few weeks ago, this is what tech was for me.Wait in line for a few minutes, roll up to the tech shack,( guy sitting in front of rusted out F-150 with no bed on it). He says ever been here before? I said yes.He says whats your car #? I say 1158L. He says have fun!! Never even opened the hood or trunk. It just depends on what kind of event on how hard they tech I guess. If it was a NHRA or IHRA meet I think they would be teching a little harder. But for most of the people going its just weekend wariors so I don't think they worry too much.Just my .02

that's the way it's always been for me as well. as long as i can make a pass or two i'm fine if they want to complain. the cars that they really need to worry about will have all the things necessary anyway. i doubt they will be worried about my old thirdgen.
