I am in security at the LGR GM plants in Lansing. They make the Cadillac CRS, SRX and the new SRS. Anyhoo, when I do my patrols I often wonder how I can get one of the 400 HP LS6 engines into my lunch bucket.

Yeah, Caddy can put one of these fine babies with a 6 speed into their 4 door CRS's. Wish I could get one with an all wheel drive automatic. That would have to be one heck of a bracket car. Ahhh, once again, how to fit into lunch pail?? They also come with some monster Brembo brakes. Too Kool, huh Al Fox? Only thing I see are they are under-tired with only 255's on the back.

 

yeah, I heard about those. sounds and look really sweet. arent they like 70K though? if so I'll still take a viper thank you. which one is the little vette lookin one? w/the really low hoodline and I believe it was a two seater.

Heck, maybe I'll just get one of the 320 HP 4.8 Northstars.

FWIW you can get a nice LS6 CTS for under $52,000. Put the extra 20 grand into it and make it a Viper eater capable of riding 4 people in COMFORT anyware you wanna go.

I forget the name of the little 2 seater but you cannot get an LS6 in it. Only the 4.8. At least that is what I have read.

 

Caddy XLR roadster i think you're referring to... Cool car but underpowered IMO

 

Yeah, the XLR is the little 2 seater caddy with the convertible. I don't understand why the CTS gets the LS6 and the XLR which is built on the corvette chassis only gets the Northstar. The XLR should definately get the LS6 or now the LS2 or LS7 coming out.

 

Its because GM won't build a caddy to beat the Vette. Just think if they put an LS6 in an XLR and accidentally went high 11's with it?? What would that say for the Vette?

 

Its not because of that. Its because Cadillac division refused to put a "low tech chevy pushrod" engine in their roadster and instead wanted one of their own creations in it.
