Nick. I know an experienced GM tech who will swap out the convertors for $150. Hardly worth messing with yourself, if you ask me.

I can help out with the rear swap. Is the rear end completely installed? With exciter rings and brake plates already installed, or are these things that you need to swap out when you switch rear ends? Do you have air tools? That makes the job a whole lot easier. Let me know what day you have in mind, and if I'm available, then I will glady help.

Can you hook me up the the guy that does the converter swaps? I have an LT1 Caprice and a vigilante on order. For 150, I would gladly let someone else do the swap.

Thanks,
Kevin

F#%K for $150 he'll be doing the install, I need the trand cooler installed too. As for the rear, I will be picking it up today. EVERYTHING is supposed to be on it but we'll see what "everything includes". I may be able to do the install at a friends house in Royal Oak who has air tools. I think I will go ahead and order my LCAs and panhard rod, might as well. Then I need to delete the TQ MGT, AIR Pump, top speed limiter, and adjust for the gears.......Hmm...time for Edit too it looks like. Lot'o'cash being dumped into the car this month. I'll post when I get the rear.

Board member, Redroc Wrench, mailto:akshower@ismi.net, name is Andy. I'll tell him that there are a few of you looking for him.. He is a good guy, & will do it right.

I suspect you may have to wait until he finishes mine though, he just took out the convertor for an upgrade, that wont be back until next week.

If James would move his car out of the garage, I'm sure he could do one in there.

The rear end is no big deal if you have air. I did mine without air, so it took a little longer. Let me know if & when you need help Nick.

I'll call him later today. I kinda have his garage tied up. My car is on jackstands waiting for thc convertor to come back. He doesn't have enough jack stands. I have some he can borrow, so I'll ask him for you.
